Tribhuvan Army clinches spot in Itahari Gold Cup final after intense semi-final victory

ITAHARI: Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) secured their spot in the final of the 14th Itahari Gold Cup after a thrilling semi-final clash last night.

Facing off against defending champions Sagarmatha Club, TAC emerged victorious in a tense penalty shootout, prevailing with a scoreline of 2-1.

The encounter, held under floodlights, saw both teams failing to break the deadlock within the regulation time, leading to the dramatic shootout.

Fatteman Ghale and Ripu Bhulan found the back of the net for TAC, while Diwakar Chaudhary managed to score the lone goal for Sagarmatha Club.

TAC's goalkeeper, Bikesh Kuthu, delivered a standout performance and was rightfully awarded the title of man of the match, earning a cash prize of 10,000 rupees for his exceptional contribution.

In the upcoming semi-final fixture tonight, last year's runners-up, Church Boys United, will take on the host team, Rastriya Jagriti Club, in what promises to be another thrilling encounter.
