AIG Gyawali appointed new Chief of CIB

KATHMANDU: AIG Shyam Gyawali has been appointed as the new Chief of the Crime Investigation Bureau (CIB).

Gyawali's appointment follows a recommendation by the Probe Commission to take action against the current Chief, AIG Kiran Bajracharya, in connection with the ongoing gold smuggling case.

Following the Commission's recommendation, a Cabinet meeting held on Friday afternoon resolved to appoint AIG Gyawali to the position.
