New power equation to foster political stability and hope
KATHMANDU: The CPN (UML) has embraced the recent changes in the country's power dynamics with optimism. Following today's UML secretariat meeting, it was concluded that the revised power equation holds the potential to uphold political stability and inspire optimism among the populace.
In a statement to the press post-meeting, party General-Secretary Shankar Pokhrel expressed confidence, stating, "We are confident that the UML will play a constructive role in ensuring political stability and fostering the nation's development." The meeting resolved to extend full support to the government, aiming to transform despair into hope among the people.
Asserting that the process of forming a new coalition government involving UML, CPN (Maoist Centre), Rastriya Swatantra Party, Janata Samajbadi Party, and CPN (Unified Socialist) is underway, Pokhrel mentioned that other political entities are also urged to back the emerging ruling coalition.
Highlighting the significance of collaboration, the UML General-Secretary emphasized, "The meeting believes that this cooperation will be beneficial for the sovereignty, independence, development, and prosperity of the nation."
Furthermore, the meeting decided to commemorate the 75th establishment anniversary of the party with a special event on Baishakh 10 in the lunar calendar. Additionally, a Mahadibesan representative council meeting is scheduled for Baishakh 8 and 9.
This strategic move by the UML signals a commitment to navigating the country's political landscape with a focus on stability, progress, and inclusivity.
