Newly-elected National Assembly members sworn in
KATHMANDU: Today, the 19 newly-elected members of the National Assembly took their oath of office and secrecy in a ceremony organized by the Federal Parliament Secretariat at the Parliament Building in New Baneshwar.
The oath was administered by Assembly Vice Chairperson Urmila Aryal. During the ceremony, Vice Chair Aryal presented the National Assembly insignia to the new members, while the Secretariat employees provided them with study materials.
The election for the 19 National Assembly Member posts took place on January 25, culminating in the formal induction of the elected representatives into office.
In attendance at the ceremony was Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha, marking the significance of the occasion within the government's leadership.
