CPN (Maoist Center) decides to contest upcoming elections independently

KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Center) has made a significant announcement, revealing its intention to contest the upcoming elections independently, without forming alliances with other political parties.

The decision was reached during today's Standing Committee meeting of the party, where members unanimously agreed to pursue a solo approach in the forthcoming electoral contests.

Vice-Chairman Agni Sapkota emphasized the party's commitment to this strategy, stating, "Our party will participate in the upcoming elections solely."

This move signifies a clear departure from previous electoral strategies, underlining the Maoist Center's determination to chart its own course in the political landscape.

In addition to this decision, the party has also resolved to field its candidacy in the upcoming election for the Chairman of the National Assembly, demonstrating its readiness to actively engage in key political processes.
