Rajendra Mahato quits from LSP Nepal
KATHMANDU: Renowned Madhes-based politician and senior leader of Loktantrik Samajwadi Party (LSP) Nepal, Rajendra Mahato, announced his resignation from the party during a press conference held in Kathmandu on Monday.
Mahato, a former minister who has been a prominent figure in Madhesi politics, revealed his decision to depart from LSP Nepal and launch a new campaign named 'Rastriya Mukti Kranti'.
Expressing his dissatisfaction with the leadership of LSP Nepal for several months, Mahato conveyed his intention to continue his political journey through activism and advocacy, despite leaving the party.
In explaining the reasons behind his resignation, Mahato criticized LSP Nepal for its inability to address internal conflicts and effectively serve the interests of Madhes and the nation at large.
"I have initiated a new revolution by stepping away from LSP Nepal, as the party failed to meet the aspirations and expectations of the people of Madhes and the nation," Mahato stated during the media briefing.
