Tragic Discovery Unfolds in Sitapaila: Mother and two daughters found dead, Father's body discovered in nearby jungle

KATHMANDU: A somber atmosphere envelops Sitapaila in Kathmandu as the lifeless bodies of three individuals were unearthed, marking a heartbreaking chapter for a single family.

The victims, confirmed to be Ishwori Shrestha, aged 38, and her two daughters, Anisha Shrestha, aged 8, and Siwani Shrestha, aged 2, were all integral members of their family unit.

According to Rabindra Regmi, the SP and Information Officer at Valley Crime Investigation Office, the family hailed from Dudh Kunda Municipality-10 in Solukhumbu and had been residing in a rented accommodation in Nagarjun Municipality-6.

Initial assessments by authorities, including SSP Bhupendra Khatri of District Police Range, Kathmandu, suggest the possibility of foul play, hinting at a potential homicide investigation.

Adding to the tragedy, the husband of Ishwori Shrestha was found deceased in a nearby jungle, his body discovered hanging from a tree.
