Closed session of Nepali Congress Mahasamiti meeting commences today

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress's Mahasamiti meeting is set to enter its closed session today following the conclusion of its opening session on Monday, as announced by NC Central Office Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel.

Scheduled to begin at 9 am, the closed session will facilitate discussions on five key reports submitted for consideration.

These reports encompass various crucial aspects including a policy proposal by Party Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka, organizational proposal by General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa, contemporary political proposal by General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma, proposal regarding the economic situation, prospects, and future direction by the party's spokesperson Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat.

Additionally, coordinator of the audit committee Shyam Kumar Ghimire is slated to present the audit report proposal.

According to Meen Bahadur Bishwakarma, coordinator of the information, communication, and publicity department of the party, the proposals will undergo thorough discussion and scrutiny during the Mahasamiti meeting.

The meeting, convened at the Sunrise Conference Center in Godavari, Lalitpur since Monday, is scheduled to continue until February 22nd.

The gathering has attracted over 2,000 delegates from across the country, signifying the significance and widespread participation in the political discourse.
