ICC U19 World Cup: India falters, losing three wickets against Nepal

KATHMANDU: The ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup match between India and Nepal took a turn as India encountered a stumbling block, losing three pivotal wickets in the ongoing battle.

Aakash Chand emerged as a game-changer for Nepal, delivering a decisive blow in the 14th over by dismissing Arshin Kulkarni, who had contributed a significant 18 runs.

The tension heightened for India with the loss of their second wicket in the 13.5th over, as Priyanshu Moliya fell victim to a run-out after scoring 19 runs.

The initial breakthrough for Nepal was orchestrated by Gulshan Jha, who sent Adarsh Singh, the formidable opener of the U19 Indian team, back to the pavilion.

Despite Singh's commendable 21-run display, he succumbed to Jha’s delivery after facing 18 balls in 4.5 overs.

Having won the toss, India opted to bat first. As the match advances to the 15.1st over, India's score stands at 66 runs, but the loss of three wickets adds an intriguing layer to the game.
