Sujan Tamang aka Bikash Waiba apprehended for alleged fraud involving 600 victims

KATHMANDU: The Valley Crime Investigation Office has taken Sujan Tamang, also known as Bikash Waiba, into custody on charges related to defrauding approximately 600 individuals.

Tamang was apprehended in Lele, Lalitpur.

Originally from Nuwakot, Tamang is accused of accumulating 61 crores rupees by falsely promising to facilitate individuals' migration to European nations, as reported by SSP Somendra Singh Rathor of the Valley Crime Investigation Office.

Following Tamang's arrest, over 100 individuals have reportedly approached the police office to file complaints against him, highlighting the scale of the alleged fraud.

The authorities are conducting further investigations into the matter to ensure justice for the victims.
