Chinese Vice Minister Sun Haiyan arrives in Nepal

KATHMANDU: In a diplomatic move that captures attention, Chinese Vice Minister Sun Haiyan, representing the International Department of the Communist Party of China, has landed in Kathmandu for a crucial four-day official visit.

According to informed sources from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Sun is set to lead a distinguished Chinese delegation engaged in pivotal meetings with key figures, including President Ram Chandra Paudel, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, and prominent leaders from various political parties.

This visit assumes significance as it is expected to bolster the already solid bilateral ties between China and Nepal. The agenda is geared towards fostering collaborative discussions on matters of mutual interest, with the aim of further consolidating the diplomatic relationship between the two nations.

Building on the recent visit to the Maldives and Bangladesh by Minister Sun and the Chinese delegation, the current visit to Nepal reaffirms China's commitment to active diplomatic outreach in the region.
