CPN-UML set to contest all 19 seats in National Assembly election

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML, the main opposition party, has declared its intention to field candidates for all 19 positions in the upcoming National Assembly election.

A decision to this effect was reached during a Central Secretariat meeting held on Friday, as confirmed by General Secretary Shankar Pokharel.

Additionally, the party has nominated six leaders to serve as Central Committee members.

The nominated individuals are Tulsi Prasad Neupane from Koshi Province, Keshav Raj Pandey from Bagmati Province, Binod Shah from Karnali Province, Damodar Bhandari from Sudurpaschim Province, Ram Awatar Yadav from Madesh Province, and Deepak Karki from Jhapa.
