World Cup-2026 Asian Qualifiers to be held at Dasharath Stadium
KATHMANDU, Oct 6: The Round 1 match of the World Cup 2026 Asian Qualifiers will be held at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu on October 12. The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has informed that the first leg of the football match between Nepal and Laos is going to be completed on that day.
Spokesperson Suresh Shah informed that ANFA has advanced all preparations for the qualifier match. In the FIFA rankings, Laos is ranked 186th while Nepal is ranked 175th.
Shah added that the commercial and media rights of the game have been given to Singapore-based SportLive, while the ticket price has been fixed at Rs 300 for the general ticket and Rs 500 for the VIP ticket.
The All Nepal Football Association itself will manage and sell the tickets for the match. Shah said that the Laos team will arrive in Nepal on October 9 for the match and necessary arrangements have been made at the Chyasal Stadium for training.
According to Shah, the estimated budget of the tournament is 7 million 368 thousand 400 rupees (US$ 56,680).
