RSP calls joint meeting of central committee and parliamentary party

KATHMANDU, Sep 26: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has called a joint meeting of the party’s central committee and parliamentary party at 4 pm on Wednesday, informed the spokesperson of the party Dr. Mukul Dhakal. The meeting has been called to review the report submitted by the leaders assigned to the district and the amnesty granted by President Ram Chandra Paudel on the occasion of Constitution Day.

Spokesperson Dhakal said that RSP’s attention has been drawn to the amnesty received by people facing serious criminal charges, which mocks the law and the constitution.

President Paudel on Asoj 2, granted amnesty to 670 people on the recommendation of the Cabinet. The amnesty that was given to the accused who were facing serious criminal charges, was widely criticized. Similarly, on the occasion of the Constitution Day, 19 leaders, including party president Rabi Lamichhane, were actively working in the district to take people's suggestions in order to draft the document.
