Gagan Thapa expresses dissatisfaction with Prachanda's statement
KATHMANDU, Sep 16: Nepal Congress General Secretary, Gagan Kumar Thapa, has expressed dissatisfaction with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda's statement regarding the death of a girl at Kanti Children's Hospital.
Thapa expressed dissatisfaction by saying that Prime Minister Dahal gave his statement in a way that closes the girl's death case, when violence indicents are still going on against health institutions.
In Friday's session of the House of Representatives, Prime Minister Dahal said that the incident took place due to poor management of Kanti Children's Hospital. Gagan Thapa, a former Health Minister, expressed anger that the Prime Minister didn't give a statement to punish the culprits and didn't give him an opportunity to speak in the parliament either.
Thapa demanded the government to bring the culprits of the incident to justice. He pressed the government to immediately take those who attacked the health workers in custody. He said that the government should take action against the culprits to make the citizens confident about the health institutions and also to make the health workers confident about their safety.
General Secretary Thapa also reiterated that his party would continue to pressure on the government to do good work.
