Respondents give counterclaim on writ against Koshi government

KATHMANDU, Sep 7: The respondents have given their counterclaim on the writ filed against the Koshi Province government and Chief Minister Uddhav Thapa.

Advocates Tikaram Bhattarai, Keshab Badal and Surendra Bhandari gave the counterclaim on behalf of the Koshi government.

Hikmat Kumar Karki, the former Chief Minister of the Koshi Province, filed a writ petition against Chief Minister Thapa, the Province Chief and others claiming that Chief Minister Thapa obtained the vote of confidence through unconstitutional means.

The writ filed against the case is being heard continuously in the full bench of Supreme Court Justices Sapana Pradhan Malla, Kumar Chudal and Nahakul Subedi.
