Deuba visits Trauma Centre to check on Yadav following attack

KATHMANDU, Sep 6: Nepal Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has visited the Trauma Centre to check on the health condition of Mahendra Yadav after he was attacked by a khukuri.

Mahendra Yadav, the party's Deputy General Secretary, was attacked by monarchist Shyam Babu Sapkota while leaving the Reporters Club.

Yadav is being treated at the Trauma Centre after the back of his head was injured from the Khukuri attack. His health condition is out of danger according to the reports.

The attacker Sapkota is a resident of Bidur Municipality in Nuwakot. He was arrested by the police following the attack and is under police custody.
