UML Secretariat meeting being held today in Ambas, Siraha

SIRAHA, Aug 30: The Secretariat meeting of CPN UML is being held today at 11:30 am in Dhangadhimai Municipality-4, Surrey Ambas (Bishnupurkatti) of Siraha, informed UML Madhes Province Incharge and Central Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai.

UML has stated that the meeting will review the mission grassroots campaign and decide the date of the central committee meeting. Madan Bhandari was elected as the General Secretary at the 4th Congress of UML held in Ambas in 2046 BS. Since it is a historical place of UML, the secretariat meeting of the party has been scheduled there. According to Bhattarai, the Congress passed the policy that the state system is also based on multi-party competition.

Secretary Bhattarai said that it was decided to form a united front for the end of the Panchayat system as UML passed Marxism and Leninism as philosophical principles in the Congress. He said that Ambas is a historical place for UML because of the end of the Panchayat system due to the United Front.

He said that the meeting of the secretariat would honour the locals who helped in the fourth congress on the occasion of 75 years of the communist movement. There is also a school named Madan Bhandari at the place for which the party had also purchased 6084 sq. meters of land.
