Election of presidents of Parliamentary Committee scheduled for Aug 28

KATHMANDU, Aug 24: The Parliamentary Committee under the House of Representatives will get a leadership after 8 months.

In the Legislative Management Committee meeting held on Thursday, Speaker Devraj Ghimire scheduled the election for the presidents of the Parliamentary Committee to be held on August 28, his Press Adviser Shekhar Adhikari informed.

Although the Parliamentary Committee was formed five months after the parliament sessions had begun, the presidents of the committee are yet to be appointed. The parliamentary sessions are being held under the leadership of the senior members.

Due to the delay in the appointment of the presidents, discussions on topics such as the Bills and other issues have not been effective.
