Two Refugee-case investigating SSPs transferred to Police Headquarters

KATHMANDU, Aug 21: The Home Minister has transferred two Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) of Kathmandu who had investigated the fake Bhutanese refugee case.

Upon the proposal of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Basanta Kunwar, Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha transferred SSP Dr. Manoj KC of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office and Kathmandu Police Chief Dan Bahadur Karki. According to the Home Ministry sources, they have been transferred to the Police Headquarters. 

Dr. KC had opened the case, while further investigation was done by Dan Bahadur Karki. 

The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Shyamlal Gyawali, who had helped the two SSPs in the investigation of the case, has also already been transferred by the Council of Ministers.
