Prime Minister Prachanda calls Oli before meeting

KATHMANDU, Aug 21: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' made a phone call to the UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and asked about his health condition.

Subash Nemwang, the Deputy Chairman of the primary opposition party CPN-UML, confirmed that the two leaders had a telephone conversation before the all-party meeting.

Prime Minister Prachanda also discussed whether Oli would be able to make it to the all-party called for 4 pm today. Oli said that he would be able to participate in the meeting as he was in a better condition compared to yesterday.

The Prime Minister called an all-party meeting yesterday to lift the continuous obstruction of the parliament. Oli, however, was absent from the meeting. CPN-UML has been obstructing the Parliament since the 26th of July, demanding the formation of a high-level probe committee to investigate the gold smuggling case.
