NA meeting called for Tuesday

KATHMANDU, Aug 21: The meeting of the National Assembly under the federal parliament has been called for 1:01 pm on Tuesday. The meeting is the 37th under the Fourth Congress.

The possible agendas include informing of the different letters received from the President’s Office, where the NA Chairperson will inform of the details of the letter regarding the verification of the bill received from the Office of the President, the letter regarding the formation of the Cabinet, the letter regarding the assignment of the duties of the members of the Cabinet, informed the General Secretary of the federal parliament Dr Bharat Raj Gautam.

The assignment letter received from the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers will also be read out by the NA Chairperson.

The possible agendas as mentioned, states that Jayanti Devi Rai, the Chairperson of the Legislative Management Committee, will submit the 'Remaining Laws Study Report 2080' according to the constitution.

Similarly, the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dhanraj Gurung will present the order issued by the decision of the Council of Ministers of the Government of Nepal to add to the procedure of the Commission for Investigation of the Disappeared Persons and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Act of 2071, Section 42, Subsection 2, before the House.

CPN UML has been continuously obstructing both houses of the parliament for a long time by demanding a high-level investigation committee on the recent gold smuggling case.
