Socialist Front to hold announcement meetings in all seven provinces
KATHMANDU, Aug 21: Socialist Front Nepal has decided to hold provincial-level announcement meetings in all seven provinces. The decision was taken by the third meeting of the front held at the headquarters of the CPN Unified Socialist.
According to the Vice Chairman of CPN (US) Pramesh Hamal, the Front has decided to hold meetings in Birgunj of the Madhes Province on August 25, Butwal of the Lumbini Province on August 29, Dhangadhi of the Sudurpaschim Province on August 30, Surkhet of the Karnali Province on August 31, Pokhara of the Gandaki Province on September 1, Hetauda of the Bagmati Province on September 9, and in Biratnagar of the Koshi Province on September 11. Hamal also said that the Provincial Fronts will be formed with those announcement meetings.
Discussions were held on three agendas in today’s meeting; contemporary politics, announcement meetings in all seven provinces, and approval of the decisions made by the secretariat of the front. According to the General Secretary of the CPN, Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’, the meeting held today also decided to support the anti-corruption movement.
The ruling CPN Maoist Center, Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal, CPN Unified Socialist and CPN led by Netra Bikram Chand are participating in the front.
