President Paudel calls for all-party meeting

KATHMANDU, Aug 20: President Ramchandra Paudel has called for an all-party meeting to remove the obstruction in Parliament.

The primary opposition party CPN-UML has been continuously obstructing the Parliament demanding the formation of a high-class probe committee to investigate the gold smuggling case.

President Paudel has scheduled an all-party meeting on Tuesday morning to discuss this issue. Paudel's Press Adviser, Kiran Pokharel, informed that the meeting will be held in Shital Niwas at 8:30 in the morning.

According to Pokharel, all parties represented in the Parliament have been invited to the meeting. Along with President Paudel, the Prime Minister, the Speaker, top leaders, chief whips and other whips are to participate in the meeting.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' had called for an all-party meeting today but the meeting was inconclusive as UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli was not present in the meeting.
