Makwanpur landslide: One person rescued after 12 hours

MAKWANPUR, Aug 8: One person who went missing in the landslide that took place at Sikre Dobhan, on the border of Makwanpur and Kavre, has been rescued alive.

The spokesperson of the Makwanpur District Police Office, Tek Bahadur Karki, informed that the rescue team rescued him from the Bagmati River. He was rescued alive 12 hours after he went missing.

Spokesperson Karki said that the rescued man has a problem with his leg, while his other conditions are normal. He has been sent to the hospital for treatment.

Another 5 people are still missing due to the landslide. The Police are searching for the missing people with the help of the locals.
