HoR meeting postponed again as top leaders fail to reach agreement

KATHMANDU, Aug 7: The meeting between the three parties’ top leaders and Speaker Devraj Ghimire which once again started at the Speaker’s office in Baneshwar, has ended without conclusion. Top leaders including Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, and UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli were present at the meeting.

An understanding could not be reached on removing the obstruction of the parliament in the meeting held at Singha Darbar earlier today, and the same happened again at the meeting held at the Speaker's office in Baneshwar.

The House of Representatives meeting scheduled for 1 pm today was postponed to 4 pm with a notice as the discussion between the leaders was not completed. The meeting which was postponed and was said to start at 4 pm has also been postponed till 3 pm tomorrow with a notice, informed Shekhar Adhikari, the press advisor of Speaker Devraj Ghimire.
