PM Dahal and UML Chair Oli meet, discuss removing obstruction of Parliament

KATHMANDU, July 30: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and CPN UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli met on Sunday morning at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, the Prime Minister’s Secretariat informed.

According to sources, there was a discussion between the two leaders on removing the obstruction of the Parliament. 

CPN UML has been obstructing the parliament saying the government should answer about around a quintal of smuggled gold. 

The meeting of the House of Representatives on Wednesday was obstructed by UML. The next meeting of the House of Representatives is scheduled for Monday. 

It is understood that PM Dahal held talks with UML Chair Oli as the UML is going to obstruct the meeting on Monday as well. But even after the dialogue between them, the leaders have not made it clear whether the obstructed parliament will resume or not.
