Unification between People's Freedom Party and Nepal Sadbhawana Party
KATHMANDU, July 29: The People's Freedom Party, founded by Resham Chaudhary, and the Nepal Sadbhawana Party, led by Chairman Ramkumar Mahato, are going to be unified on Sunday.
NSP's Chairman Ramkumar Mahato announced that a program will be organised tomorrow in Janakpur where both parties will be unified officially.
Mahato mentioned that discussions about unification were going on between the two parties for a few days. After the two sides came to an agreement, he announced the unification between the parties.
Until the next convention, Sadbhawana Party will accept the name, flag, election symbols and codes of the People's Freedom Party.
The two parties reached an agreement to host a convention in one year where a new name of the party and even a new flag will be decided.
The Nepal Sadbhawana Party will immediately receive the memberships of one Vice Chairman, a Secretary and a Joint Secretary, and 21 Central members.
The Sadbhawana Party has also received the chairmanship of Madhesh Province. According to sources, the parties have also reached a mutual agreement to form provincial committees in Lumbini and Koshi provinces after adjustments.
Sadbhawana has also received the chairmanships of the Dhanusha and Mahottari districts.
