Man accused of rape arrested from Baneshwor

KATHMANDU, July 26: A man accused in a rape case has been arrested from New Baneshwor in Kathmandu. Mohan Bhandari, a resident of the Birendranagar Municipality in Surkhet, had been absconding for half a year.

Anil Adhikari, DSP of the Kathmandu District Police Range, told Ratopati that an arrest warrant was issued against Bhandari by the Surkhet District Court in the Magh of 2079 BS. He was absconding from the date of the incident.

He was reported to be arrested based on the information that he was hiding in Baneshwor.
