Man arrested with unsourced 4.8 million rupees

BUTWAL, July 26: A man has been arrested in Kapilvastu with unsourced Indian rupees and Nepalese rupees. Sunil Kumar Gupta, 48, was arrested from the house of Ramdev Burma at Andolan Chowk in Kapilvastu Municipality.

Kapilvastu Police Chief Superintendent, Prem Bahadur Basnet, said that Gupta was arrested based on the information that he was illegally dealing Indian currency from his rented room.

According to the police, 2 million 413 thousand and 255 Nepalese rupees and 1 million 494 thousand and 920 Indian rupees (without source) were kept hidden in Gupta's room.

The police informed that they are preparing to send Gupta to the Revenue Investigation Office in Butwal along with the seized money.
