Man arrested for killing his wife

SAPTARI, July 24: A man has been arrested for killing his wife during a domestic altercation in Mahadeva Rural Municipality-2 at Akbarpur.

The husband Ramrup Khang, 35, was arrested on Sunday night on the charge of murdering his 30-year-old wife Parbati Devi Khang.

After receiving the news of domestic violence, a team of police deployed by the Hanuman Nagar Area Police Officer arrested the husband. Parbati, who was seriously injured from the altercation, passed away during treatment at Chhinnamasta Hospital in Rajbiraj. 

Ramrup's mother Samatoliya Khang, 61, also got seriously injured while breaking up the fight. She is receiving at the same hospital. The police are conducting further investigation into the case.
