Parliamentary hearing for proposed ambassadors starts

KATHMANDU, July 19: The parliamentary hearing process for the 6 ambassadors proposed by the government has started.

The 6 proposed ambassadors are Lok Bahadur Thapa for New York, Ram Prasad Subedi for Geneva, Tej Bahadur Chhetri for UAE, Ghanshyam Lamsal for Kuweit, Ghan Bahadur Oli for Thailand and Sudhir Bhattari for France.

According to the constitutional provision, ambassadors recommended by the Council of Ministers are appointed by the President after being approved by the Parliamentary Hearing Committee.
