Human Rights Activists demonstrate in front of Russian embassy

KATHMANDU, July 13: Human Rights Activists have demonstrated in front of the Russian Embassy in Nepal. On the 505th day of the Russia-Ukraine war, the Human Rights and Peace Society Nepal protested in front of the Russian Embassy requesting the end of the war with Ukraine.

Those present in the demonstration requested an end to the war with posters containing various slogans. After the demonstration, the memorandum written to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin by the Peace Society was handed over to the official of the Russian Embassy in Nepal. In the memorandum, it has been mentioned that the Peace Society has experienced the sadness of humanity being defeated due to the war. Similarly, it has been requested to immediately end the war that started after Russia attacked Ukraine on the 24th of February, 2022.

Four dozen peace activists including Peace Society Founder Chairman Krishna Pahadi, Chairman Ramkrishna Baral, Advisor Uttam Pudasaini, Former Chairman Homkanta Chaulagain, General Secretary Renuka Paudel, Peace activists Dr. Kedarnarasingh KC, Sudarshan Sigdel, Ratna Lakshmi Shrestha, Chandramani Banjara, Bal Bahadur Gaha, Kiran Dhakal, Namrata Kharel, Diwakar Pudasaini, Jagannath Pudasaini, Bhagawan Pudasaini, Bikash Thapa, Ishwar Pudasaini, Jayaram Pudasaini, Ishwar Nepal, Prachi Khanal, Rita Adhikari, RC Bhandari, Maniram Dahal, Gautam Khadka, and Hiramani Khanal participated in the demonstration.
