Unified Socialists leader Pandey passes away

BUTWAL, July 8. The District Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist) Palpa Khimananda Pandey (Kamal) has passed away.

Pandey passed away on his way to Lumbini Medical College and Teaching Hospital Prabhas for treatment after a heart attack, informed Unified Socialists Press Organization District Chairman Padam Gaire.

52-year-old Pandey, who is living in Chirtungdhara Piple, Bagnaskali Rural Municipality-1, has two sons and a wife. The simple and soft-spoken Pandey was the Deputy Secretary of the UML before the formation of the Unified Socialists.

Pandey's funeral will be performed today at Ramdighat in Kali Gandaki River.
