Teenagers raped in Okhaldhunga and Ilam

KATHMANDU, July 5: 65-year-old Rukh Bir Rai from Siddhicharan Municipality-3 Adheri has been arrested for raping a 16-year-old girl at Okhaldhunga on Tuesday afternoon. Rukh Bir Rai was arrested by Police deployed from the Okhaldhunga District Police Office for allegedly forcing himself on the teenager with Sagar Rai's help. Sagar Rai is currently absconding from the Police.

Similarly, 30-year-old Amrit Bahadur Rai from Rong Rural Municipality-1 Shantipur Katahare has been arrested for raping a 14-year-old girl at Ilam on Tuesday evening. Rai was arrested by Police deployed from Provisional Police Post Barphalyang for allegedly raping the teenager over the past 3 months.

The Police are currently conducting further investigations in both cases.
