Locals protest after Metropolitan City runs dozer on Anamnagar

KATHMANDU, June 12: Locals have protested after the Kathmandu Metropolitan City ran a dozer and demolished public property in Anamnagar, Kathmandu.

A dispute arose between the locals on Monday after the Metropolitan ran a dozer on public land at Gorkha FM Chowk located in Anamnagar. 

The locals have been protecting the public land for years and were against the demolition as it might be needed during dire times. Locals on the other side were in favor of the government demolishing the public land to build their own structures.

Kathmandu Metropolitan has started demolishing the office of the 29th ward of the Metropolitan City. The locals are opposing the actions of the Metropolitan.

Locals have pledged their support to the Kathmandu Metropolitan to build any other structure apart from the ward office. The Metropolitan is running dozers on public land ignoring the demands of the locals.
