Stock market plummets by 53 points after budget speech
Kathmandu, May 30: The share market immediately plummeted a day after the budget for the fiscal year 2080/81 was announced. The stock market index fell by 53.16 points and reached 1888.61 points on Tuesday.
But the market has seen a turnover of more than 2 billion 341 million 700 thousand rupees. The market has plunged today after all 13 subindices have turned negative. Despite the negative market, the stock value of Atmanirbhar Microfinance Institution has seen a positive circuit, while the price of Sweet-Ganga Hydropower and Construction has dropped by 9.26 percent.
The government presented a total budget of 1 trillion, 751 billion, and 310 million rupees for the next fiscal year on Monday.
