Old age allowance not raised

Kathmandu, May 29: The government will not increase old age allowance. During the budget speech for the next fiscal year on Monday, Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat informed that the old age allowance will not be increased. 

However, the old age allowance given to senior citizens over 68 will continue, said Minister Mahat.

Through the budget speech, the government has provided the necessary budget for the protection of senior citizens and their rights.
