Plans for drastic reforms in Agricultural Sector, Grants from Integrated System

KATHMANDU, May 19: The government has taken a plan to comprehensively reform the agricultural sector from the next financial year. The government has announced comprehensive reforms with the goal of becoming self-sufficient by increasing the production and productivity of the agricultural sector through policies and programs. 

President Ramchandra Paudel announced the policies and programs and informed that the three levels of government will promote agriculture and marketing of the produced products through the collective efforts of the government. Similarly, the government plans to implement an integrated system to manage subsidies as well.

President Paudel announced that the entire community will be involved in the conservation of animal and poultry biological diversity and the production of hybrid seeds in the country will be given priority.

Similarly, the government also plans to set the support price before the harvest and expand the scope of the agricultural market. And the President has announced that the agricultural program will be reviewed and the laboratories related to agriculture, livestock and food will be upgraded.
