Fake Bhutanese refugee case: 15 accused arrested so far

KATHMANDU, May 18: Till now, 15 people have been arrested in the case of the fake Bhutanese refugee following the arrest of Nepal Haj Committee Chairman Shamsher Miya on Thursday.

VIPs such as the former Deputy Prime Minister and former Home Minister have been arrested in the case.

The people arrested in the case are former Deputy Prime Minister and UML leader, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, former Home Minister and Congress leader, Balkrishna Khand, Secretary of the Government of Nepal, Tek Narayan Pandey, Security advisor of the then Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa, Indrajeet Rai, former Constitent Assembly member of Congress, Angtawa Sherpa, private Secretary of former Home Minister Balkrishna Khand, Narendra KC, Sandesh Sharma, Sandeep Rayamajhi, Ramsharan KC, Govinda Chaudhary, Keshav Dulal, Tanka Gurung, Sanu Bhandari, Sagar Rai, and the recently arrested Shamsher Miya.
