Government Policy and Program on May 19

KATHMANDU, May 16: The government has been preparing to bring the annual policy and program for the coming year on May 19. In a meeting between Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and Speaker Devraj Ghimire on Tuesday morning, PM Dahal informed that he will present the policy and program in Parliament on May 19.

Parliament, budget, and policies and programs were discussed between Prime Minister Prachanda and Speaker Ghimire. Sources close to the Prime Minister said that although the policy and program were to be introduced on May 17, as the question-and-answer session with the Prime Minister was scheduled for May 18, the Prime Minister is going to present the policy and program only after that.

Before the budget speech, the government has to present its policies and programs in the parliament. Although it is customary for the President to read out the policies and programs of the government, taking the health condition of President Ramchandra Paudel into account, it has been discussed between the parties that the Prime Minister should read out the entire policy this time, although the President will start the reading.
