CM Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary gets vote of confidence

DANG, May 2: The newly appointed Chief Minister of Lumbini Province has received a vote of confidence. 53 votes were cast in favor of Chaudhary and 29 against.

According to Rule 145 of the Lumbini State Assembly Rules 2079, the letter regarding the taking of a vote of confidence in the State Assembly was registered at the State Assembly Secretariat on Sunday. 

Chaudhary was appointed Chief Minister on Thursday with the support of 52 members of 8 parties and one independent member of the state assembly. Chaudhary took the oath of office and secrecy on Friday after assuming office. The Chaudhary-led government has 3 ministers without department, namely, Dhan Bahadur Maski of Maoist, Santosh Pandeya of Janata Samajbadi Party, and Dharma Bahadur Chaudhary of Nagarik Unmukti Party.
