Karnali CM Sharma gets vote of confidence for third time

SURKHET, April 28: The Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Rajkumar Sharma, received a vote of confidence from the 14th meeting of the Provincial Assembly on Friday. He had asked for a vote of confidence according to Clause 2 of Article 118 of the Constitution. He has received the votes of the Nepali Congress, CPN Unified Socialist and Independent MPs along with the CPN Maoist Center.

Out of 39 MPs participating in the voting, 29 votes were cast in favor of Chief Minister Sharma while only 10 votes were cast against him. He got the votes of all parties and independent MPs except CPN-UML and RPP. He got 13 votes from Maoists, 14 from Congress, 1 from CPN Unified Socialist and 1 from an independent MP.
