Nagarik Unmukti Party's first convention to be held in December

KATHMANDU, April 8: Nagarik Unmukti Party (NUP) has decided to hold its first convention in Tikapur from 22nd to 24th December 2023. The decision was taken at the two-day meeting of the party's central committee held in Kathmandu on Friday.

Before this, the date of the convention was fixed from the 17th to the 19th of April 2023. The party has decided on the next date of the convention, estimating that the party protector Resham Chaudhary and the Royalty of Tikapur will be released by early December.

Similarly, the 136-member Central Working Committee has been approved. Eliza Gautam has been given the responsibility as the Women's Department Coordinator of the party.

Likewise, Damodar Pandit, who was limited to the spokesperson before, has been given the responsibility of Senior Vice-President of the party, while Laxmankishore Jogethwa Tharu and Himanchal Bhattarai have been elected as Vice-Presidents. All three are from Kailali.
