Candidacy of Rabi Lamichhane upheld

KATHMANDU, April 5: Rabi Lamichhane, President of Rashtriya Swatantra Party, who was running for the By-election in the Chitwan area number 2, has been confirmed as a candidate. 

Out of the 4 complaints filed against Lamichhane's candidature, the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer Chitwan dismissed 3 out of 4 complaints filed against Lamichhane saying they were not up to the mark.

His candidacy has been upheld as the opposition claimed by his rival candidate has been dismissed. Chief Electoral Officer of Chitwan, Basudev Sharma informed Ratopati that the complaint filed by Yuvaraj Khatri Safal, who had complained by email against Lamichhane's candidacy, has been sent to the Central Office of the Commission to decide.
