Self-immolation by 45-year-old man in Pokhara

POKHARA, April 4: A man has committed self-immolation in Pokhara in his own house. The man is confirmed as Indra Prasad Aryal, 45, of Pokhara Metropolitan Ward no. 17, Birauta.

According to Ved Joshi, DSP of Ward Police Office Baidam, Aryal set his body on fire. DSP Joshi said that the door was locked from the inside when the Police reached the place of the incident. His dead body was recovered by police in a burnt state when they reached the house.

According to the Police, he committed self-immolation on the first floor of the 3-storied house, when no one was home. His wife was at work and his daughter was also out of the house, the Police have confirmed. 

The police have informed that a gallon was found in Aryal's room and have started investigating on the incident.
