Pashupati Area Development Trust bans plastic materials to combat pollution
KATHMANDU, March 29: In an effort to combat the increasing pollution around the Pashupati Temple area, the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) has implemented a ban on plastic materials on the temple premises, effective immediately.
The decision was announced in a notice issued by the Trust, which cited plastic as a major contributor to the pollution problem.
The Trust has called for the cooperation of all visitors to the temple in implementing the ban.
Additionally, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation has launched a three-month cleanliness campaign in the Pashupati area, with the PADT urging everyone to participate in the Saturday morning initiative from 8:00 am to 10:00 am.
