Ravi Lamichhane's chairmanship of Rastriya Swatantra Party automatically revoked

KATHMANDU, Jan 27: Following the Supreme Court’s decision to scrap the parliamentary post of Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane,  Lamichhane's chairmanship of Rastriya Swatantra Party has been automatically revoked.
The Supreme Court (SC) on Friday scrapped the parliamentary post of Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane ruling that Lamichhane’s citizenship is illegal. 
“Lamichhane is not eligible to be a member of any political party as his Nepali citizenship has been declared illegal by the apex court,”said Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya, the chief election commissioner.
