T-20 League: National team member Adil arrested

KATHMANDU, Jan. 23: National cricket player Adil Ansari has been arrested by the police from Saptari. An officer of the District Police Office, Saptari, told Ratopati that he was arrested with instructions from the Central Bureau of Investigation. CIB has concluded that Ansari is involved in the 'spot fixing' of Nepal T-20 League cricket.
A team led by SP Sanjaysingh Thapa of the Bureau investigated the 'spot fixing'. Ansari was arrested based on the recommendation of that committee. And just today, Police arrested former national cricket player Mehbub Alam as well. Alam was arrested at Biratnagar bus park. Preparations are underway to bring both of them to Kathmandu.
