Yeti Airlines plane crash: 3 bodies not identified as male or female

KATHMANDU, Jan. 16: There is a problem in the identification of 3 dead bodies collected from the crash site of the 9N ANC ATR-72 aircraft of Yeti Airlines. SP Ajay KC of District Police Office Kaski informed Ratopati that 3 bodies were not distinguished as male or female.
68 people died after a plane of Yeti Air crashed in the gorge of the Seti river in Pokhara, Kaski. SP KC informed that it was difficult to identify the bodies of 3 people due to severe burns.
Among the bodies collected from the accident site, 39 were identified as male and 25 as female. Security personnel have resumed search and rescue in Seti gorge located in Pokhara Metropolitan-17 Gharipatan since Monday morning.
The bodies of 67 people have been taken to the Western Regional Hospital (Gandaki Hospital) from the accident site. SP KC informed that a dead body was found in the gorge and efforts are being made to remove the body.
The Armed Police Force recovered the bodies of 4 people from the gorge on Monday morning. Divers of the Armed Police Force have also been mobilized for search and rescue. The condition of 4 people on board the plane is still unknown. 23 people who died in the accident have been identified.
